As a Cultural Care local childcare consultant (LCC), I invite our host families and au pairs as well as those considering Cultural Care Au Pair to explore my site and learn about what is going on in our community. I provide year-round support to host families and au pairs, and also talk to families considering the program to help them determine if Cultural Care Au Pair is the right childcare solution for them.
My involvement with the au pair program dates back to 1996 when I came to Chevy Chase, MD as an au pair.
Since then I became a mother myself and have a wonderful multicultural family. Our two little girls (5 and 3.5) both speak three languages and visit Europe every year, so we know all about cultural exchange.
Being both an au pair and a mother gives me a great advantage in helping host families as well as au pairs experience a successful year (or more) together.
I have a master’s degree in education. After teaching at middle and high school, I went to the computer applications training for several years and instructed adults for change. Simply put, I’ve enjoyed working with people of all ages throughout my whole carrier.
